#Dimensionality
Now to the key Q: How does adding topography change the internal component structure of ANN models. We replicated previous work. TopoAudio does have has lower intrinsic dimensionality (but interestingly, not as low as Human ECoG).

We now know that adding topographic constraints lowers the dimensionality of model representations (from Eshed, @bashivan.bsky.social, @nblauch.bsky.social and others). But fewer-dimensional doesn’t automatically mean brain-like dimensions. Auditory cortex gives us a clean way to test this idea.

Love getting accused by some dipshit redditor of engaging in "small sample size confirmation bias" for making a relatively innocuous comment about playoff baseball being different and the Cubs relative one-dimensionality making it easier to game plan against in a short series

Your characters have an intriguing sense of dimensionality to them. Do you use custom 3D models to help with posing, and then draw based on that reference, or is this all freehand?

just hoping to add some dimensionality and context to that dynamic some. just as much as i desire a world where women and femmes don't need to move through the world with fear, i also want one where a Black man minding his own business doesn't feel he has to step into the street or a yard

hmm idk i mean ultimately most of what im interested in is ones that get projected onto a 2d canvas one way or another. & even just w/ 2 dimensions there's plenty of fractals already.

as for more rigorous definitions of fractal wrt high dimensionality i guess i wouldnt be surprised if some kind of

My first thought is: a harp player’s expert string-plucking somehow breaks down their immediate reality. Strings and resonances and harmonics meeting the math of inter-dimensionality.

The question then is how they might return to reality before four-dimensional beings notice.
#HorrorWritersChat Question Three:

“No matter how he tried, he could not break free
And the worms ate into his brain…”

Pitch me a story where you pair up a musician of your choice in a horror tale of your choosing.

Marvel’s Wolverine isn’t a true Insomniac game
After polishing off Marvel’s Wolverine, I was left with mixed feelings about how good it actually was. As a huge PlayStation exclusive helmed by Insomniac, it looks fantastic, is cinematically epic, and the scintillating moment-to-moment action is gruesome and gratifying in a bloodlusting kind of way. On the flipside though, the gruff reminiscences and musings of Wolverine and his chemistry with Jean is stilted; the one-dimensionality of the action, and the mawkish way the game tries to make you resonate with it like trying to marry a vampire with a sun-scorched Floridian beach are forceful and unengaging. While I was playing, something didn’t sit right with me. I tried to figure it out, but it was hard to grasp, until eventually it dawned on me that this epic Wolverine adventure isn’t a true Insomniac title, but let me explain why I’ve come to this conclusion. Insomniac has a colourful history of whimsical and zany adventure titles. Starting off with Spyro, the team created one of PS1’s most-adored franchises with its lovable purple dragon and colourful lands. They managed to leave an indelible imprint that’d make 90s kids all gillied up with nostalgia. ### This post is for subscribers only Become a member to get access to all content Subscribe now

Geometric analysis reveals how channel dimensionality enables positive-rate covert communication over quantum channels, bypassing the classical square-root law: when input alphabet exceeds output dimension, secret transmission becomes feasible without rate penalty.
