Got a new mag from America’s most unfortunately named manufacturer. Turns out a previous owner reassembled this wrong and put the magazine disconnector in backwards and turned 90 degrees so it prevented the magazine from being inserted. Also they put the recoil spring shroud on the wrong end.

The problem is the whole "easy to convert to a machine gun" thing. Every semiautomatic firearm is easy, conceptually, to convert to a machine gun just by fiddling with the disconnector. The only reason it's easier with Glocks is because there are so many of them, not because of their design.

So more parts for my hicapa came in, and this dummy forgot to order a trigger bar. Also lost the disconnector spring. So close to finishing a gun, and I gotta make another order because I lost a part and forgot another. 🥲

Honestly I'm not sure that's correct. Especially given they hand you the Glock 17 (with disconnector disconnector installed) so early on.
