#Distributism
Not to be That Guy, but collectively owning a company isn’t necessarily socialism. Distributism believes in collective ownership as well.

But I doubt this guy knows that.

Christians should return to the principles of Distributism instead of hyperfixating on hating minorities while their world burns down around them.

Greed makes good actions expensive. I'm personally for #distributism or wealth limit. Once you reach a certain amount of money you should settle.

Now I wonder if this test has Chesterton's "Distributism" as a possible answer.

Lorenz has become another example of Mr. G from the famous essay by Dorothy Thompson "Who Goes Nazi?": "...he will never be anything. His brain operates quite apart from the rest of his apparatus. He will certainly be able, however, fully to explain and apologize for Nazism if it ever comes along."

I’m repurposing this page to focus more on Distributism, Liberation Theology, and my life at the Catholic Worker. If any of my Friends wish to unfollow, I completely understand.

We don’t need either one—state socialism
or state capitalism. We need bottom-up,
human-scale, small-is-beautiful economics
as if people mattered.

We need a democratic economics of the people, by the people, for the people.

tip for life: any politician or political party that claim they've found some form of governance or politics that doesn't fit into the left-right economic continuum is either dangerously stupid or lying

Yes this is about distributism

I'm all hyped up from Wendell Berry's memorial service (held alone in my home) and ready to shout at someone about distributism!
September 4, 2026 at 1:40 PM
Nope. Do you know what distributism is?
September 2, 2026 at 9:06 PM
Explain to me what you believe distributism is, and then we can talk.

Hey Princey. I support Distributism blended with socialism. I'm quite happy with my choices, my friend. I really don't know why you're so pissed off, though.

This would be a little about what I talked about, but Distributism, as is, still lacks the safety nets that socialism can bring to the system. So, a step closer to a better system than we currently work under, but not far enough.

Dorothy Thompson described free-speech academic contrarians like Patrick for Harpers in August 1941…

Dorothy Thompson described it well in August 1941 —including the role of the “contrarian” intellectuals in helping normalize fascism until no longer needed:

(I probably need to brush up on Catholic social teaching and, in particular, Chesterton and distributism. Without tripping over too many far right tradcaths. Ora pro me...!)

Distributism has got to be the most retarded economic system ever conceived and I don’t care if Chesterton liked it. Communism sucks but at least it has a logic to it! Distributism is literally just “what if we were all just little fat hobbits :) and nobody got to have too much stuff and we all h

Distributism is literally just “what if we were all just little fat hobbits :) and nobody got to have too much stuff and we all held hands and went to church” it’s like some shit your little cousin would come up with in her 2nd grade class with some schoolmarm cheerily praising it
