Our old dog died 3 weeks ago. I wrote to Dorwest Herbs and to YouMove (in the UK) to tell them & to stop her supplements. Both sent a sympathy card. They didn't need to as I said there will be no more dogs, so I thought it was nice of them.

Poor Heidi, and it's awful not being able to calm them. And it can run for a fortnight.
Hattie ok. Alfie was the same until he was 6. There was no calming him.
We now give them calming tablets (Dorwest Scullcap & Valerian) about 2 weeks before. They have really helped & Alfie is so much better now.

I think kelp helps with coat growth and skin pigmentation plus other health benefits from the minerals and trace elements (per the Dorwest herbal petcare catalogue!). Although I doubt that's why Hattie wolfs it down - more in line with your hypothesis 😀

I'm being a bit over sensitive, I know. The above is probably a good thing for people who don't obssess over this stuff. FTR, both of the girls get Dorwest Keepers Mix, Dorwest Movewellia and salmon oil every day. I also do home-made bone broth with chicken and locally culled deer.
We got cosh pills from the vet, but they didn’t make the slightest difference. These Dorwest along with his playlist seem to take the edge off though.

I use Dorwest Paw and Nose Balm on their pads as they can get pretty dry. Miah's back left toes are not great, they're angling outwards. 😔 It's something I've seen in racing lines (including mum's) and one of the reasons I went to a sire with outcrossing in him. It's made Nova very sturdy.

There's no way that you can predict all the ad-hoc ones. And there's no way of explaining it to a dog. Alfie was not bothered by them until he was about 8, and then his anxiety was off the scale. We started to use Dorwest Scullcap & Valerian tablets. This has improved things for him.
