Central Florida is on its way to removing long-term drought. NOAA's drought Termination and Amelioration site www.ncei.noaa.gov/access/monit... Oct. 31 that central Florida needed 16" of rain in 1 month to eliminate long-term drought; now it says 12". Of course the coast is out of drought.

NM's drought has improved to the lowest levels in nearly 2 years!
The drought severity is now at its lowest since Dec. 31, 2024, and 38% of NM is drought-free, the most since Jan. 14, 2025.
Unfortunately, most of this came at the expense of severe & historic flooding.

Recent rains have helped out, and much of northwestern Wisconsin has seen a 1 class improvement on the Drought Monitor. About 14% of the state remains in Extreme or Exceptional Drought, but every little bit helps!
