8/ I started on high dose oral prednisone (60mg/day)(medlineplus.gov/druginfo/med...). Steroids can serve to suppress the immune system. Pros: Easy to administer. Cons: a number of potential side effects ("Moon face" and "raging" emotions) as well as problematic long-term impacts like osteoporosis.

A patch fresh out of the package is dangerous to anyone who is not already tolerant to its effects. Kids and people with a sensitivity to the drug are especially prone to potential harm via skin contact. Granted, it’s a small % of the pop. but not 0
