Now please do not ask us any follow up questions about how we sheltered him for decades. Hey look over there! it’s Dumcree!

It’s so funny that Chris Bryant a replacement level Labour guy had to deal with the Dumcree issue
October 9, 2026 at 8:43 PM
Absolutely raging at the provocative & one-eyed language & behaviour of unionst parties - Democratic Unionists Party and Ulster Unionists etc debating the Dumcree standoff. Sir Chris Bryant is damned either way.

I live in NI and the big thing here was the Dumcree dispute lately and holy shit the amount of grace that's been given by the BBC to a group of people who are basically just trying to do a celebration dance over the graves of a bunch of dead children is actually fucking insane.

Incredible to see #NoelGallagher & so many artists supporting the right of #GarvaghyRoad residents to live in peace, free from intimidation from the Protestant #OrangeOrder to march down that Catholic Rd

If the Union actually meant anything then Andy Burnham’s government should be facing a serious flack about the way they completely fucked up their response to the Dumcree dispute. But they just don’t care about Northern Ireland and never ever will

They shut down the City because London isn't loyal enough. It's not just stupid it's deranged. Same with Dumcree there's no win, it shows the world you're cunts. Do they have the same PR as Bibi
October 4, 2026 at 8:38 AM
De momento la policía está impidiéndoles pasar pero el lunes habrá una vista en el tribunal para que decidan si les dan permiso otra vez o no para pasar por allí pero los residentes de Dumcree han dicho que diga lo que diga el tribunal no van a pasar.

I pity Chris Bryant. Difficult to see how anyone who doesnt come from N Ireland gets the passion on both sites of the Dumcree dispute. I have friends and colleagues from N Ireland from both sides who have lived here long enough that they no longer get it.

Getting to interview General de Chastelain about the Good Friday Agreement process is what lit the investigative fire under me (getting to do this in the Europa Hotel of all places was surreal) - and watching what's happening in Dumcree, again, has an awful feeling growing in my stomach.

I was a small child during the first Dumcree protests. I’m in my mid thirties now. It’s absolute nonsense that they are making this an issue again.
September 27, 2026 at 8:52 AM
It’s important to remember that Unionism is making Dumcree an issue again to try to distract people from the fact that they systematically tried to hide the fact that Jeffrey Donaldson was a rapist pedophile for decades.

Are they saying children aren't safe around these Far Right shithouses with flags?

Gee, why do the Irish have an affinity for the Palestinians' blight, it must all be Antisemitism and not hard won experience of 800 years of Colonialism (which must never be mentioned in context!)

big fan also of how the weather in dumcree is clearly terrible. audible "rain hitting waterproof coat" noises on the BBC feed. there's a fella yelling into a megaphone that isn't working right. i fear the whole thing may be spiritually british. just a whole bunch of Damp Middle Aged Men

No it is 100% not what I wanted. I cant put in to words how much I loathe all of this without being very emotional or swearing. I do wonder if a book written about Culture war and dumcree is akin to our version of project 2025 . Should we read it to understand whats going on ?

So 200 officers from Scotland are going to help police the Orange March in Dumcree. That sounds like its 'not a controversial'march then 🙄

But there is a Court hearing challenge over Drumcree parade decision share.google/cqA4AuWb9e9B...

They tried to put up some street signs in Irish and Unionists absolutely lost their shit. They’re still fighting over fucking Dumcree for Christ’s sake.
September 25, 2026 at 10:00 AM
This decision is wrong. I cannot believe the march has been allowed even in a limited capacity. What will this lead to? My heart goes out to the people of Dumcree.
September 25, 2026 at 1:38 PM
It’s wild that Heather Humphreys is trying to downplay the inherent sectarianism of the Orange Order when they are trying to kick off a Dumcree again

Heather Humphreys: I don’t regret running for president. I do regret the sectarian undercurrent it exposed
If some people can’t get their heads around a picnic in Drum with a few accordion bands, then what chance do we stand when it comes to bigger, thornier questions?

This is just fundamentally loser shit, the Dumcree issue was resolved 25 years ago and it’s kind of sad that they are still trying to make it an issue

Gavin Robinson is 41 (a rough 41 I know, because hate is terrible for your skin) he was a literal child when shit was kicking off at Dumcree, there’s no dignity in this.
