#Dysfunctional
I wouldn't copy this model, its a quirk of history, and because the city/state surrounding the Square mile is so dysfunctional/undemocratic.
Get yourself proportional representation, mass transit and upzone.
This is a very interesting YIMBY concept out of London. Giving commercial renters a voice in government. Austin has lost many local commercial businesses and there's very little actual advocacy for them past slogans. Would we have more neighborhood shopping centers if commercial renters could vote?
Exactly, the Livery companies are dominanted by office tenants i.e. not the landed interest.

Everywhere else the electorate is systemically biased in favour of the landed (owner occupier) interest. And the councillors are 90% homeowners too.

We want to make sure you know what you're getting into, that you're motivated enough to keep doing it for the rest of your life, that you're comfortable with us as we are and not some ideal version you've heard about.
Think of it as applying for membership in a (large sometimes dysfunctional) family

Anyone who followed his career knew he was from a dysfunctional family, and was a severely flawed person as a result, but this is worse than expected. Unfortunately, a typical American story.

We are getting students with behavioral issues we have never seen before.

He’s *Not* a Billionaire — Fated Mates: Romance Books for Novel People
It's been the longest month of our lives and as self-care, we're not thinking about billionaires this week (or at least for the duration of this episode). Instead, we're talking about those men who ar...

(True. I’m worried that they will make it my problem. Work has been a mess lately. It’s been really toxic and dysfunctional. I should just try to rest and get better.)

This! I'm tired of literary fiction with dysfunctional men having bad sex with women/men they have no emotional connection with.

I write MM to give my men emotional depth and I allow them to be vulnerable with the object of their affection. It's not an easy road, but satisfying for the readers.
I am sick to death of reading sad men having bad sex in literary fiction pretending its deep. Or sad women. I am an equal opportunity hater.

Give me a romance which explores kink dynamics. Which explores what asexual intimacy looks like. Which includes neurodivergence, queerness, disability

I can not describe how disgusted I am at Hindus, Savarnas, India, Singapore, and Canada.

Singapore's reputation worldwide is like that of a yet-to-be-publicly-disgraced billionaire.

Canada is a paradise for rapists & pedophiles.

Indescribably ugly, ignorant, toxic, and dysfunctional.

Executives thinking they know better than their technical talent has been a primary dysfunctional element of business since business has existed.

Before, the worst outcome was the business collapsed. Now we're talking about THE LITERAL END OF HUMANITY.

Are we humans truly too stupid to live?
Ignoring advice to secure and monitor your sandboxes during testing then blaming it on your AI being so smart that it’s a threat to humanity is nasty work

Is Iran the only one that knows that the failed U.S. military conflict wasn't a success, that it was a mistake, that it was a monumental failure? It's pretty clear the U.S., under the leadership of a bone-spurs draft dodger, made the U.S. look militarily dysfunctional and ridiculously unprepared.

It is pretty clearly both? Whether you frame it as a power or a duty, though, it was waived by the refusal to hold a hearing. A precedent where the Senate can grind the Executive Branch to a halt without even convening for a vote is utterly dysfunctional, and should never have even been humored.

Meanwhile, Trump has personally profited between $1.4 billion and $3.4+ billion during his second presidency so far.

An insurrection that has captured the executive, SCOTUS, and rendered Congress dysfunctional, focusing on the corruption is a distraction. Suppressing the insurrection cures the corruption. It only takes a majority vote on both houses for suppression.
