What saves the Reeves take for me is that he (and to an even greater extent Pattinson) seem to lean into the absurdity of that further escalation of grimness. Some elements are still off (Riddler should def be more outright goofy) but a lotta the movie comes across as very tongue-in-cheek to me.

25 is nothing. He should have had an F-16 and a wingman months ago. Instead he flew a Soviet airframe into Russian SAM range because the West is still scared of escalation. That trade is a disgrace, not a strategy.
