Reception have been thinking about size in maths this week. We have been thought about what the difference is between height and width. We measured ourselves to find the tallest and smallest.

We have been comparing groups in Maths in Reception this week. Today we did a vote on our favourite character in Jack and the Beanstalk and compared the results. We counted them and talked about the height of the towers as well as the difference in the numbers. #eyfsmaths

During Active Learning in Reception, the children have been practising touching every object as we count. The pebbles on the carpet are useful counting tools. 😉 #eyfsmaths #purposefulmaths
