(On a teensy tiny maybe bright side, the Earthdivers Omnibus - one of the graphic novels that was already on my wishlist based on @onenerdyopinion.bsky.social 's recommendation - hasn't been denied yet despite being one of the two titles that wasn't already in the supposedly pre-cleared list.)
(Oh, I thought I was going to throw in the teacher card last night. I got notified that eight of my new graphic novels have already been denied during the vetting process before they made it to the school board for approval. See if you can spot any trends.)

I haven't read it yet, but I recall Stephen Graham Jones and Davide Gianfelice did a comic with this general premise a few years back.

Good day to read Earthdivers 1776 from Stephen Graham Jones. (psst, the Omnibus has an extra chapter). Also, am singing the words 'Back in Time' ala Huey Lewis).

hit a reading slump after finishing back to back bangers (earthdivers, lake city, yesteryear, whidbey) so i decided to revisit some YA and picked up meg cabot’s mediator series again after many years.

while the books definitely have some uncomfortable relics of 2000s YA lit, i’m enjoying myself 📚💙

At this point, after his 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘖𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘎𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘐𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘴 novel & "Earthdivers" graphic series, I'll read everything of his. Why not start 'everything' with this blockbuster?

The "Earthdivers"-series by @stephengrahamjones.com is just great. A group of indigenous survivors of a wasted earth time-travel in order to stop the USA from existing. Ending up at a number of possible points in history, struggling to stop what is coming. Great art & dark humor. Highly recommended.

Picked up a copy of earthdivers omnibus (graphic novel? I think?) by Stephen graham jones at the library.

I never was in to comic books, so I wasn’t certain how I’d like this one. So far it’s been phenomenal. I may update when I’m through!

Finished Buffalo Hunter Hunter. Another 6⭐️. Probably the only reason it doesn’t beat out Indian Lake for me is because I feel so emotionally connected to Jade. Never stop. I just started The Only Good Indians today and I’m a third into the Earthdivers omnibus. No end in sight for this marathon.

Now an uber-fan of SG Jones, this is a 3-volume graphic novel of time traveling in an effort to prevent an environmental apocalypse. At its core, stop the colonization of the Americas.

Gotta say, Earthdivers really rewards multiple reads. Complex and rich layouts, smart repeating motifs (narrative and visual), and some tremendous nonlinear storytelling, which I'm looking forward to writing on this summer. Managed to convince some Gothic Studies scholars to pick up the omnibus!

I had the pleasure of presenting @ssag.bsky.social last month in Salem on a panel about @stephengrahamjones.com ! I was fortunate to be talking through some ideas about colonial horror, Indigenous futurity, and slasher tropes in Earthdivers. And? *Had* to bring the SGJ Rules hat.

You know, just in case.

The IDW Exclusive Earthdivers Omnibus, signed by SGJ @sgj.bsky.social belongs in my life.
It doesn't say who signed it, but I'm gonna guess it's at least SGJ.
