I highly recommend some ecofeminist reading. Lierre Keith’s piece: The Girls and the Grasses is magnificent.

the greatest green degrowth ecofeminist president of our lifetimes
I'm not sure who saw this coming, but so far nearly all the jobs created during the second Trump administration have gone to women.

An Ecofeminist Read of John 4:1-30
In the early to mid 1970’s, Françoise d’Eaubonne and Vandana Shiva coined the term Ecofeminism. Ecofeminism was introducing a “theory and praxis that has committed to coming together with the conviction that dialogue will enrich both ”.1 Both nature and women are subjected to dominance, so Ecofeminism is an attempt to outline a “new utopian horizon, addressing the environmental issue from the categories of patriarchy, androcentrism, care, sexism and gender”

yeah it's also interesting that people are adopting a quite robust humanism which can also have reactionary undertones, post-ecofeminist thought. again reopen the philosophy departments etc.

I love this woman. If only her words could reach all human ears.

A must watch till the end, Speaker-Vandana Shiva is an Indian scholar, environmental activist, food sovereignty advocate, ecofeminist and antiglobalization author.

The compelling thinking of political ecologist 𝐀𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐥 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐡 challenges the idea that today’s planetary crisis is simply the result of human activity. Through an ecofeminist lens, she traces its roots to the interconnected structures of patriarchy, colonialism, and capitalism.

Here to help move things at Green Party Conference. Three motions I co-signed are in order:
- making party policy public,
- recognising nature and biodiversity as a national security issue
& an intersectional ecofeminist approach.
Looking forward to the debates and helping shape policy together. 🌻

That said all of the 90s ecofeminist stuff which is under fire today is still compelling to me to be honest. Denying rights becomes a habit and the end goal is the same (to protect a particular vision of legitimate personhood across race, class, gender, body type, etc).

It's an ecofeminist idea from people like Donna Haraway in the 90s fwiw, not a right wing position (and I imagine she'd be aghast at being accused of being anti-abortion)

If you're not Green & feminist (aka, ecofeminist) , I don't trust you.

WAY too many "leftist" misogynists & people who give no meaningful fucks about the Earth.
