From the EdWeek piece:

Great work by EdWeek — $110,193,772 from my home state of Maryland, $118,985,396 from my previous Tennessee.

Congrats to TN’s GOP senators for sitting still while money is stolen from them! So big and cool and brave of you!

Can Trump Force Schools to Change Their Curricula?
Trump's bid to take money from schools that teach "critical race theory" or pass policies for transgender kids raises legal complexities.

Also the figure that 58% of very dissatisfied teachers say their mental health is "harming their teaching" is very concerning also. Bad behaviour, pay, tech, PD are all factors.

I see from EdWeek that MIT’s Day of A.I. is going to write “model school A.I. policy” this summer, and I see we’re back at the analogy of tobacco companies writing smoking policies.

For all these things that people get very animated about in math education (math facts, direct instruction, tracking) this 2023 EdWeek survey shows critics way overinflate the popularity of the "progressive" positions.

🍎 EdWeek ran an article headline: Audiobooks "Have Long Been Considered Cheating," & that is an ableist and myopic stance.

Teach students to decide for different assignments: is this a situation where the text or the audiobook is more helpful?

Also, some audiobooks make the book better.
