However old they are they are surely licensed educators so I don’t understand the question. The conflict is about control of platform features, not incompetence.
How old is the average employee there? As much as I'm anti AI, you can responsibly teach it to kids without being too dependent on it and letting it suck away our humanity.
The thing is, this is more of a threat to Google’s relevance than it is to teaching. Yes it would be deeply annoying and a stupid burden to place on teachers, students and administrators. But I assure you we know how to teach without search. Does Google know how to not be a villain without schools?

As opposed to software developers who are arrogant enough to think they are educators, I suppose. 🤔

The French government has offered to invest billions into renovating schools and hiring more educators in an effort to quell continued riots led by students.

This is being translated into proof that “protests work.”

It is vital to understand that this concession is in response to *rioting.*

Educators. So arrogant. Why will they not bow before our software developer overlords??
Schools have the ability to turn off the AI features of what they essentially get for free if they choose to sever students from modernity. Instead they reject product upgrades and are arrogant enough to think they are software developers. Use a different product if you’re unhappy with The Google.

Roosevelt Schools Superintendent Dr. Shawn Wightman traveled to Guatemala to personally deliver a diploma to Álvaro Velásquez, who completed all graduation requirements before deportation kept him from the ceremony. Good people still exist in this country. Educators are among the best.

Ontario faces a shortage of 10,000 early childhood educators, yet its renewed child care agreement freezes their wage floor. Banking on the unwavering commitment of a workforce made up overwhelmingly of women is no substitute for decent pay, writes Meghan Mendelin.

Time for educators to learn that Google's search results aren't worth shit and haven't been for a long time
“The company’s new strategy underscores Google’s powerful role in American education. If school leaders want continued student access to search within the company’s ecosystem, they will be forced to embrace Google’s A.I.”
Google Will Turn Off Search for Schools That Reject A.I.
Google is making it easier to restrict its A.I. tools for students. But schools that block A.I. entirely will lose student access to Google’s search engine.

Does anybody ever bother to ask why institutions like universities hate the educators who they employ? I don't think 'caring about students' is really an issue (does anyone not 'care'?); I'm more concerned about why my university would like to eliminate the history department.
Disagree. Students as customers leads to for profit model of credentialing as many as possible as quicly as possible. Caring about students is part of the duty of an educator.

They think they are software developers? This cannot he a real argument. They are trained educators who do not see any benefit to AI “upgrades” because they know their pedagogy.
