St James’ Church, Elstead. In October Brian May, of Queen fame, donated 3000 daffodils and he, along with local children, planted them on the village green and around this church.

Saw a crow at Elstead Moat today, proudly carrying a frog in its beak. Nature can be brutal, but it’s always fascinating to watch!

Fatbike fun if a little damp for @beerbabe-uk.bsky.social birthday trip to Tilford Woods. Sadly both pubs, The Mill at Elstead & the Duke of Cambridge at Tilford were very quiet & still suffering from the Dry January crap that goes on. Lots of soldiers on the Commons but the trails running well.

A nice walk with family at Thursley NNR. Not many birds around. But did spot some some Ivy Broomrape, Orobanche hederae in Elstead on the way home, as we stopped for cake. @bsbibotany.bsky.social
