And if you hate self-promotion, at the very minimum make sure your paper can be read or downloaded anywhere - repositories exist for a reason. Oh, and it would be helpful if we could find your emailaddress.
Yes, self promotion sucks, academics, but if you don’t do it nobody will find out about your work. The point is to publish and be read, not publish and hope you are discovered by fate, lifted out of a humble and pure obscurity so that you may be both famous and retiring

Hint I heard about to help track which companies are selling your data. Whenever you give your email to a company, add “+name of the company). Ex: emailaddress+netflix@gmail.com. You still receive the emails like normal, but any new spam list will show the email you put in.

It is however an email address I have. I previously received post addressed to the same name from a pension company. So, its concerning they have my email, address and phone number, but don't actually have my name. But phoning for "Mr. Emailaddress" is definitely a give away.
