Sometimes I mash up, reharmonize, and slightly modify songs to give them new meanings. This Don Henley-Rod Stewart cover/mashup/derivative work is my latest example.

Anyway, #DirtyLaundry is a legendary song, not just for the amazing and prescient lyrics, circa ~1980
The organ grooviness cannot go unmentioned. It’s “of the style” in its satiric tone. But with a distinct bitterness and frustration

#EndOfTheInnocence is next ;-)

I've been thinking of this song all day since the Jack Smith news broke. Now I'll be haunted by this rendition, reminiscent of an early 90's Brian McKnight. I need to find his version of this whole song! #EndOfTheInnocence #DonHenley #multymuzic

Metal detectors will be rolled out tomorrow. #endoftheinnocence http://t.co/91L3kGkBdC

I’m more of an 80’s fan, so I’d go with something by Don Henley and his early warnings of wealth inequality.

It’s sad how most of all these songs still apply so pointedly today.

The orig is great, but for a change, here's Bruce's version. He cowrote with Henley.

Means more now:
They're beating plowshares into swords
For this tired old man that we elected king
