Yea, I'm pretty sure even direct Maps employees would just hit the escalation email from go/notify - I worked in EngProd in Geo Data years ago and that was where we sent people who complaining about data problems.

It can be separate teams.
Small companies may not have infrastructure at all but one or two people may work on their team's productivity.
EngProd is sometimes called Developer Experience. I think it's a good name.

I consider that more to do with “engineering productivity” than to do with quality. Yes quality is a facet of EngProd but it’s not the most important part of that discussion where Project Management Triangle it’s the most important part
