Gearing up to start my second Vampire: The Masquerade chronicle set in an alternate timeline with different sects (founded by the first chronicle's player characters). The next one starts on Halloween and takes place in 17th century Salem.

Why was so much risked to record the transit of Venus? It only happens twice every ~130 years, and it had only been observed once before. Kepler first predicted it in 1631 but didn't know where it could be seen. His prediction allowed W. Crabtree to catch the 1639 one in Enlgand.

You're right but it's not unique for the UK. There's similar in Ireland and other European nations.

1/ I'm a Bill of Rights advocate. 1A-10A, I believe & defend them all, but I never saw myself stepping into the fray to defend my 2A right moreso than 1A or 4A.
Living in NV or AZ, I felt that it was far too easy to obtain & operate firearms.
