okay, so the pathological behavior i think is going on here is that the optimizer is approaching minima at a speed of 0.01, and then orbiting them in a hypersphere until the decay function uncaps the effective LR and drops it below eps2.
like, right? if you have just an absolutely enormous error on a parameter (because you initialized a token to a random value), then v_t is going to be something like 1e-12, making the effective LR = eps2, which is 0.01, even if your actual LR is 1e-7.

First watching Eps2, with Gummi deleted was it all just a long set up to make the joke crueler? There still being a point turns out to be a core pillar of the show. Eps3, oh horror game parody. A dual bodied monster, a man regretting his actions & souls wishing they had bodies to leave with (2/2)

I've enjoyed this season so far, but it feels like three raccoons in a trench coat of ST. Has the look of Star Trek but it's missing a lot of what makes it Trek.
