#Errors
This is not even a question. It's one of the great unforced errors of our time.
One big question that is starting to emerge tonight.. did national Democrats miss a massive opportunity to invest in Florida?

Ok.

Nope. software doesn't get "confused" it makes critical errors.
Called place where I’m getting ultrasound today:

“Uh..I just got a call from one of your employees saying I need a different test and she had my address and insurance provider wrong and didn’t know if any of this is covered?”

Receptionist: “oh yeah that’s our AI agent Vivian. She gets confused!”
I’ve now experienced AI fucking up TWO medical things for me in the past month.

1. Sent me the wrong summary of a bad blood test result via patient portal that scared the shit out of me

2. An AI agent (who I did not know was an AI agent) called me today to schedule a test my doctor did not order

You don't get to see terrible people commit unforced errors of this scale every day.

Let the people have a treat

I have three incidents of AI transcription errors going into my medical records, caught because now receptionists at checkin do a recent med and procedure review. Probably due to AI transcription errors.

Why are they called floating point errors when I am drowning in them?

Knowing this, Democratic candidates and campaigns hoping not to have bad stories about themselves make it into the Times should avoid doing dumb things and making unforced errors, rather than complaining that those dumb things and unforced errors become news.

we just need to spell it Joe Fañano to avoid any unfortunate errors

2020 polling errors were an excuse, not a reason.

Lt. Gen. @markhertling.bsky.social tells Ben Parker that Trump's comparison of the Iran and Vietnam wars is riddled with factual errors and fundamentally misses the point of military success:

Increasingly ”reproduced” means asking an LLM to reproduce a paper the same LLM wrote. Which doesn’t really satisfy the purpose since their errors are correlated

Some Mississippi voters could be sent to the wrong location on Election Day at multiple polling places due to errors in the state system.

I love The Comedy of Errors

My favorite part of election season is everyone getting the particle physicist experience of "staring at graphs that hint at the underlying reality but have enough systematic and statistical errors that you can't be really sure."
Not seeing anything indicating that the inference from early voting, that GOP turnout is way down, ISN'T applying to Elec Day voters as well. Early but there's currently no Republican Election Day surge making up for their decline in early voting. FL numbers:

Obama's major geopolitical errors notwithstanding he has come out looking far smarter than his two successors.

Oh hell yes!

20,000 California voters.

One list a judge called rife with errors.

Trump ran it to the Supreme Court the day before the election…and got a one-line NO. Not one dissent.

They tried to shelve your ballot. The Court said count it.

Vote tomorrow!

PADD 2 (Midwest/Great Lakes) gasoline inventories holding at their lowest ever level: 41.0 million barrels. Still no room for errors.

An edit button. No longer should the fat fingered suffer the humiliation of spelling errors.

Getting rid of character limits was one of the most grievous errors of the 2020s just sayin'
Haley Stevens has written an extremely long tweet.
