Female and immature male eastern pondhawks (Odonata: Libellulidae: Erythemis simplicicollis) are green but mature males like this one turn blue with age. This individual was hiding in the leaves of a cabbage from Florida, sluggish but still alive so I released it. Blissfield Michigan, 24 Mar 2026.
