Siberia can't boast a wealth of endemic species; they are few, and one of the most beautiful is the Siberian erythronium! Hidden in the ground, its bulb protected from frost, the erythronium is a good candidate for cultivation. It is listed in the Red Book.

Among the first harbingers of spring is the Siberian erythronium, delicate, fragile, yet surprisingly resilient. It blooms only in the eighth year after being grown from seed! Unfortunately, the erythronium is listed in the Red Book due to habitat loss. (The name is mistranslated.)
