#EvaMClayton Vs. #FahrelnissaZeid
A portrait of an African American woman with rich deep-brown skin, styled curls, and a tailored coat, portraying Congresswoman Eva M. Clayton. She greets rural constituents on the sunlit steps of an eastern North Carolina courthouse. Monumental kaleidoscopic oil in the style of Fahrelnissa Zeid, where dappled sunlight through oak trees fractures the natural scene into shimmering geometric tessellations of gold, ultramarine, and crimson.
