Me ajudar a trabalhar com sicronização, Executorservice fez a abstração quase por completa, não precisei inicializar nenhuma classe thread, a abordagem foi trabalhar com pools, digo quantas são, aí fica colocando um após o outro dentro desses pools

Yes. Coroutine came with Kotlin. Before Kotlin, async work was mostly done via Thread, ExecutorService, etc.
From Android platform this was (is) the OG of doing async work. It was deprecated in API 31. Yet it lives 😅
