I've been working on a project on a kind of de facto ideology or faith I call "extinctionism" and wow, U Minnesota made it their slogan
1) whether someone wants to have kids is a matter of personal bodily autonomy and neither of these ideologies consider that
2) extinctionism is fringe millenarian stuff that should be snuffed out in its infancy as a matter of basic humanism

Friends: I just put together a website dedicated to "Silicon Valley pro-extinctionism." It includes a list of articles that I've recently published on the topic. In my view, this is one of the most important issues that almost no one is talking about. See the link below!
What's annoying about this is the humanities academics largely spawned their own definitions totally disconnected from the longstanding widespread use, so they *flipped* the terms: for them "posthumanism" meant flux and anti-human-nationalism, and "transhumanism" was then dunked on as extinctionism.
