This is community-led wildfire risk reduction. It’s how we prepare for the next wildfire season.

With work like this, communities become safer, forests become healthier, and industry becomes more confident.

Osoyoos Indian Band, Siya Forestry, and FESBC - well done.

Converting wood waste into fibre for mills. It reduces CO2 emissions, and it helps keep workers working.

In April, FESBC provided funding to four wood waste projects in the Cariboo alone. Part of a package of 64 funded projects.

Recovery after wildfires is priority for this government, and for me personally.

Through FESBC, orgs like Ntityix – owned by Westbank First Nation – do a remarkable job reducing wildfire risk and fostering a healthier ecosystem for the region.
