Will be interesting to see how long #FL20 remains open following Cherfilus-McCormick’s resignation — when former Rep. Alcee Hastings died in April 2021, the special general to replace him wasn’t until January 2022, leaving the seat without representation for nearly 9 months

I have the same feelings about #FL25 and #FL20.
Strategically speaking, Democrats should support the more moderate Jared Moskowitz in tougher #FL25 and the more progressive Elijah Manley in the safer #FL20.

As much as I like Oliver Larkin, Trump+9 FL-25 is a tough fit. Moskowitz fits its pro-Israel electorate, and a DSA person would put the seat at risk.
Progressives should focus more on Elijah Manley in FL-20: a majority-Black seat where DWS faces backlash for switching districts to stay in Congress.

Disheartening to see South Florida’s white Democratic establishment fall in line behind Rep. Wasserman-Schultz over the Black community’s objections to her carpetbagging into FL20. Our party must reckon with this white supremacist expectation for Black folks to take a back seat.

Compare that to, say #FL20, where the vote was split among Black voters between Holness, Manley and Cherfilus-McCormick (there's also the fact Holness is Jamaican and SCF is Haitian so Black voters there aren't a monolith). More than half of Democratic voters there didn't vote for DWS.
