turns out: at some point i accidentally hit Fn+ESC, which acts as FnLock. so all the F-keys were backwards. but since nothing was responding to them, it looked like nothing was happening instead

i don't think Linux is still running in there; capslock unresponsive, mute light unresponsive (tho FnLock responds)

power light flashes when first plugged in, but, no luck there either

guess ill hope the batteries run down, one of em is a tremendous pain to remove

Nincs numerikus, home meg pgdn felbaszva a felső sorba. Jobb ctrl sehol... Ja és a Fnlock miatt vagy a home-od működik, vagy az F8, mindkettő nem.

Tizenéve nem bírom megszokni, hogy nincs a helyén semmi, ami ahhoz kéne, hogy meggyorsítsa a munkámat.

오늘 여친님에게 스타크래프트를 가르치다가 안드로이드 및 iOS 중심으로 설계된 소형 블루투스 키보드의 치명적인 문제점을 알게 되었다.

노트북 기본 레이아웃처럼 6열로 설계되기만 해서는 끝이 아니라는 것이다. 그러니까......

FnLock이 있는 모델이 없다시피하다. (뒷목)
ESC조차 Fn조합으로 써야 하는 모델이 즐비하다. (절망)

대륙제 모델들뿐만 아니라, 심지어는 샘숭 트리오 500이라는 모델도 그러하다. (오열)

왜 저 모델을 특히 언급하냐면, 집 근처에 삼성스토어라 재고만 있었으면 사왔을 뻔했거든요......

The keyboard of my Ubuntu 24.04 laptop ( a thinkpad T470s) no longer works, except that space is a shortcut to toggle keyboard backlights. FNLock is off. I can use an external keyboard. I am looking through documentation but any help would be appreciated! #ubuntu #linux

Laptop is back, all fresh and clean. Spending the day reinstalling programs and recovering passwords.
Figuring out that FnLock was on was a good first step.

Vanavond deed m'n laptopkeyboard het opeens een kwartier weer. Nadat ik wat gekke toetsen (zoals Fn) een keer aangeraakt had, weer niet meer. Daarna viel het me op dat de spatiebalk *altijd* keyboardlighting reset, ook als FnLock uitstaat. Hardwareprobleem? Zoiets:

Oh hey, thanks for letting me knoiw there's a bios fix for that! I've just been turning on fnlock, which of course turns on the LED on it, which i don't like.

And yeah, very annoyed with thinkpad keyboards putting fn there AND getting rid of the context key.
