This is all such good advice, but also brilliantly focused on the social/personal aspects we ignore too often.

My number one advice to my poetry students is: Be nice to people. Make friends. Compliment other people’s work.
I can’t focus because the world is still the world. So…new thread from your favorite underachiever!

1. Don’t bogart information. If someone starting out asks you about shit, share what you know. That extends to not gatekeeping friends who might also be able to help them.
