Late last night, with about 15 minutes notice to the Union, the NLRB’s HR sent an email adopting the terms of the forked-up resignation scam. HR also provided us a contract that appears to be drafted by AI or LegalZoom. As labor lawyers, we’re happy to go over this in detail. 🧵

Do you think there’s like a bribery contract form you can download from LegalZoom? What are we doing here?
Corruption requires explict quid pro quo. It is not corrupt to take an action that aligns with the interest of a person who gives you a gift, unless the official action was in direct response to that gift--a bribe. Terms matter. Accuracy and fairness matters. Regardless of what social media wants.

IANAL but from personal experience if you don’t have kids LegalZoom or whatever is fine. If you have kids it’s worth hiring an estate lawyer.

Make a will and not via LegalZoom, your local legal aid may have guidance on doing one yourself. You own things, even if there's not much, so you need one, and most states will let you do a medical POA and advance directive without paying an attorney.
