A great way to get back at your unqualified dickhead teacher who also tried to mess with your career would be to win the Grand Prix at Cannes.
What makes me cry is we will never even know exactly what we lost from Indian film history because unlike Hollywood guilds & MPAA, there is no serious record keeping. Our idea of a Bollywood historian is Anupama Chopra, who is a good film reporter but NOT a historian. FTII is emaciated.

「私たちが光と想うすべて」を見たので、同じくパヤル・カパーリヤー監督の「何も知らない夜」を見ました。
カースト差別や学生運動の弾圧を描いた社会派ドキュメンタリーだが、ある女子学生の恋文を中心に据えるという構成によってきわめて個人的な物語にも感じられる。こんなドキュメンタリーあるんだ…良かったです
この恋文はフィクションだけど、最後に記された“For our friends”の文字どおり、実際にFTIIに在籍していた監督自身の学生時代の思い出でもあるのだろうな
