Each Monday night since, I have grown closer to these Black & brown folx, week by week, & tonight, I finally read my hermit crab essay, despite apprehension. The way I was held was such a gift! So grateful for this #WritingCommunity & not just because the facilitator called my work a femanifesto! 🔥
Tonight's writing group of Black & brown women was such a riot! One comments her age, which prompts another to share hers. By the end, one woman says 71, which we all could not imagine could ever be her age, meanwhile, she is adamantly insisting 71, meaning the YEAR of her birth! ☠️
