This is Deslicis, one last ghost type in honor of Halloween! Its name comes from the words detritus and slices, pronounced duh-slices. It's based on all sorts of deep sea creatures, but mainly the ghost shark and the dragonfish.

Introducing Exprontan Chinchou, an Ice/Ghost type regional variant. It's based on anglers (both the people and the fish) and pirates. Only one of its eyes works, since the deep sea is so dark that vision is hardly useful.

Happy Halloween, or in this case, Pokéween!🎃👻

I don’t have the Splatoon Horror short story done just yet, but for now, have a collection of spooky/sinister Fakemon for today!

This is Mo'possum. Perhaps the greatest name I've ever come up with for a Fakemon. It's based on opossums and the three kids in a trench coat trope.

In the spirit of Halloween, it's time for Expronta's first ghost type, Oposham! It pretends to be alive, even though it's actually a ghost. It stands eerily still to let its observers' guards down, opening them up to an attack.

This is Tacholla, the Focus version exclusive counterpart to Terraze. It's based on the jumping cholla and rabbits. Tacholla's name comes from the words attach and cholla.

This is Terraze, who is based on geodes, armadillos, and pill bugs. Its main inspiration is the Navajo Traveling Stone, which hurls itself at people to crush them. Likewise, Terraze rolls around to run over things for fun.

Here's a quick little reference sheet showing off Carravel and its powers. It uses telepathy to shoot orbs out of the hole on its hump and to carry goods over long distances.

At level 32, Caralfan evolves into Carravel! This Pokemon is based on camels, jewelry, and tanks. It has the power of telekinesis, which makes it great at transporting goods.

Next post will be a reference sheet showing off Carravel's powers!

Introducing Caralfan, a Fighting type Pokemon based on camels. It's known for its strength, which makes it able to carry heavy objects despite its small stature. It also seems to source some of its power from the orbs on its back.

The Darrey Shrublands are the last of the four areas you can access before obtaining any transportation upgrades. It's a dry, dirt-covered area with shrubs and cacti scattered everywhere. It's also home to Respite Town and the Gym there!

Introducing Matrysalis, the Matriarch Pokemon. It's based on cocoons becoming transparent near the end of metamorphosis, as well as matryoshka dolls. It's so powerful that it has never needed to evolve out of its cocoon stage.

This is Matrypillar, a Bug/Normal type Pokemon with two faces (and minds). They are an especially friendly Pokemon, but are harder to take care of due to their large appetite. They are based on Matryoshka (Russian nesting) dolls.

This is Focus Bouffalant, which you might see at the Respite Town Gym if it's not one of your first two gyms. We'll learn more about the leader soon. As for Bouffalant, it gains the ability to move in a mesmerizing fashion.
