Also found in the Falklands. So athletic; so beautiful 😌
These are Commerson’s dolphins, spotted near Isla Pingüino in Patagonia, Argentina. Among the smallest dolphin species in the world, they are instantly recognizable by their striking black-and-white markings: #AGoodPlace

Texas, Elon? I'm reminded of the British family who moved to the Falklands for the peaceful environment just before Argentina invaded.

And, apparently, Algeria and Tunisia. In fact, the whole French empire in Africa.

But somehow not the Falklands.

Friction between UK & Argentina over Falkland Islands has led to a fishing “free-for-all” in SW Atlantic, as foreign fleets take advantage of the region’s failure to jointly manage stocks of squid, hake & other [🐟]'

But that doesn't apply to the Scottish public in Indy?
Have I got that right?
See also Gibraltar, Falklands and other British territories where their confident the public want to stay with the UK
Gibraltar now has EU status like N Ireland in some form as there's no hard border with Spain anymore

In the early 1980s the only way of communicating with the world from my Antarctic base was by telex message via a relay station in the Falklands. I've just watched @bas.ac.uk chief pilot Vicky Aulde speaking live to a @rmets.org event from Rothera base via her mobile phone.

Were the Argentine government sabre rattling over the Falklands at that point too? Cheerful times 😂

Doesn't bode well for the Falklands Islands if Milei is willing to get his hands dirty while also openly talking about taking the Falklands Islands back. Especially if Trump/US starts supporting his claim.

No, you fucking plebian. I do not....well I did once or twice perhaps, but it was before The Falklands.

It would be funny to me personally if this was set in the spring of 1982, so Ed and Izzy are planning to flee to Argentina and disappear like war criminals, but then they turn on the news and the shit's hit the fan in the Falklands. Massive argument about paying attention to current affairs.

The Falklands War strikes me as the most law compliant war in modern times, with 3 civilians killed by artillery. And the Argentines quit before fighting would have killed more and destroyed Stanley.

Of course, they were fighting over a sparsely inhabited series of rocks in the middle of nowhere
