#Faramir/Aragorn
Faramir.

Specifically book Faramir. Him and Eowyn both wanted Aragorn and settled for each other.
Name the queerest character that isn't canonically queer

Faramir es la primera opción y siempre lo fue porque lo de Aragorn era otra cosa.

The crown of King Eärnur is brought forth—who, without any heir, rode out to challenge the Nazgûl Lord 969 years ago and was never seen again. Faramir gives the crown to Aragorn.

Instead of crowning himself, Aragorn hands it to Frodo.

Frodo carries the crown to Gandalf.

Crowds are thronging the gate of Minas Tirith as the army marches up from their pavilions and draws to a halt. Aragorn steps forward with his Dúnedain. He is met by Lord Faramir and the Warden of the Keys.

Faramir: ‘The last Steward of Gondor begs leave to surrender his office.’

Aragorn hands the white rod back to Faramir: ‘That office is not ended, and it shall be thine and thy heirs’ as long as my line shall last. Do now thy office!’

Faramir: ‘Men of Gondor, hear now the Steward of this Realm! Behold! one has come to claim the kingship again at last.’

Everyone talks about whether Aragorn or Faramir or Éomer is the better catch, but the REAL answer is Rosie Fucking Cotton.

In the wilds of Ithilien our heroes happen on...Robin Hood and his merry men.

This makes sense, as Tolkien was trying to knit together a Grand British Mythology. If Aragorn, the Once and Future King, is a variation on Arthur, why shouldn't Faramir be Robin Hood?

Also, gotta say, Aragorn: smart, smart. "Who do I want holding what is basically the front door of my kingdom? Someone no one is going to f*** with. How about Faramir, renowned captain of men and his wife, Eowyn Wraith-Slayer Murder-Queen?"

Solid choices!

Indeed. It sounds like Musk identifies with Boromir and not with honorable people like Aragorn or Faramir.

Faramir even has a whole speech in which he says he doesn’t love war for its own sake but only because of the things that protects, and that Minas Tirith should be loved, not feared.

We want Aragorn, or Faramir.

Aragorn asks for athelas. The healers don’t usually collect it; a search is made. Six leaves of the herb are found. In Aragorn’s hands, they gain sudden power, and he is able to call Faramir, Éowyn, and Merry back out of the darkness.

Luke is Faramir, Leia is Aragorn, this isn't complicated

Ghân-Buri-Ghân and the rest of the Woses are, like Aragorn (King Arthur), Gadalf (Merlin) and Faramir (Robin Hood), an attempt at a Grand Unification of British Mythology by giving us Green Men/Woodwose hybrids.

It doesn't work as well, because they're not around long enough to make any impact.

“We’re the Rangers of Ithilien.”
“Oh, like the Rangers of the north?”
“Nope. Completely unrelated. Parallel evolution. Turns out that the failure mode of any Numenorean successor state is ‘men in green cloaks sitting around in the woods.’”
