Nat Geo has a whole series about drug trafficking out of Venezuela. Most times it’s 2 guys in a fastboat, the kind you water ski behind. Congrats Marco, we spent millions of $$ taking out 2 guys in a Bayliner.

At least as of a day or so ago, there were 2 Arleigh Burkes and 3 LCSs docked in Bahrain. I don't think any major strike (at least not one pre-coordinated w/ the Iranians) will happen with these ships docked within 200km of at least a dozen Iranian missile bases and a dozen more fastboat/AShM sites.
As it stands, most assets moved to the middle east (F-15Es, A-10s, Patriots, THAADs, and the Carrier group) are primarily defensive - ie, to be used in case of Iranian attacks against Israel or US bases in the region.
Seems most US assets to MENA are going to MSAB and PSAB in Jordan and KSA respectively. Both w/in the range of Iran's short range missiles (MSAB a little further on avg), both covered by Patriot + THAAD. Still quite vulnerable, esp. given most US assets are just parked on the tarmac

Meanwhile, CENTCOM advertises a training exercise where A-10 attack aircraft practiced engaging naval targets alongside US Navy LCS ships. If I had to guess, this occurred off the coast of Bahrain, where 3 LCS ships are currently based. This exercise would be related to the Iranian fastboat threat.

I said it was "headed" to Europe, not trafficked across the Atlantic in a fastboat. They off load on one of the Caribbean Islands and it is likely flown to Europe of Africa. These are well known drug routes.
