This dragonesque brooch is typically Romano-British. While they only started appearing after the Roman invasion in 43AD, they use British motifs & reflect local tastes. These brooches were also used as fasteners for cloaks (the pin is sadly now missing).

Just popped up on my phone. I designed and sewed several fleece sweatshirts with ruffles for my girls. They had little heart cutouts where the harness ring was for leashes and easy on/off Velcro fasteners 🥰

I once got annoyed and overstimulated so I left the house to cool down and I ended up driving to Home Depot to take a walk. I didn’t even buy anything I just looked at fasteners.
