FedGov is local jobs. These aren’t cuts to *them* over *there*, these are cuts to *us* right *here*.
Remember more than 80% of US federal career employees work outside of the Washington DC area. EPA is shutting down its scientific research division, which helps keep our air & water safe. It’s overwhelmingly staffed in Cincinnati, Ohio, with ~1000 employees there. The OH & KY Senators don’t care?

These very real impacts are already cascading elsewhere in the country. The density of affected individuals is greater there but 4 of 5 civilian FedGov are outside metro DC. FedGov is nationwide and the fallout will be too. I said very early on they were going to overreach and cause backlash. LFG
