Spent some time this morning clearing a path to the front porch so we could get mail for the first time since the blizzard. Was rewarded with this cool #PostcardFromAfar by @ashphotoprints.bsky.social . It is a Ferroblend, which appears to be what you get when you develop cyanotype with copper.

Yay! You got it! It looks like it got a little beat up in the lower right corner - dang.

If you're interested, here's some more info about ferroblend: tinker.koraks.nl/photography/...
The original developer of the process is Raghu Kuvempunagar, but I've been using Koraks' mild variation of it.

Testing the #ferroblend process. Kinda nice! Image is of the Fine Arts Theater in downtown #Denton TX

Ferroblend is the name of a new #altprocess that combines #cuprotype and #cyanotype. More info here: tinker.koraks.nl/photography/...

Is it similar to ferroblend where you sensitize like a cyanotype but develop with copper sulfate?

Manhattan Reflections. Printed as a cyanotype and as a ferroblend. #alternativeprocess #cyanotype

A couple of Ferroblend test prints. Same chemistry and same exposure times. The only difference is the paper used for each one. An amazing difference but I really like that. #alternativeprocess #cyanotype
