My first painting of 2026. I was painting today in Cadmore End, behind Rackleys, over looking the Fingest valley. It was very cold, so I could only manage 3 hours before it got too cold. Oil on gessopanel, 24 x. 30 cm.

One bit I really loved was the drop out of Fingest. That was a really fast run from there all the way into Henley.

Not bad on the bike in the Chilterns today... 😁 Legs came out, coffee in Henley, then over Hambledon Thames weir. Up to Turville, then Christmas common and back down via Swyncombe. Watery Lane before Fingest... lived up to it's name, the whole path was a stream...😀 #Cycling #Oxfordshire

Funnily, the filming locations are around The Chilterns, a mildly hilly area of Buckinghamshire & Berkshire, west of London. There are some pretty villages there such as Turville, Fingest, etc.
