final pc upgrade i think until a new gpu is needed. the 500gb beskar drive was a choice driven by frugality, they're only 0.08USD/GB right now? weirdly. the drive itself is firecuda so it's actually a great deal, comparable firecuda drives usually go for 0.16-0.18USD/GB

Oh, and if it matters, I have a 2 TB external SSD "Firecuda" brand SeaGate external memory that plugs in via c-port to house larger games and free up memory.

8TB+ external you're probably going to be limited to a Western Digital Elements or a Seagate FireCUDA drive. I would go WD over Seagate.

#blutoid great encapsulation of how fucked SSD pricing is right now. 316% increase on this 1TB SATA drive and +97% for the cheapest 2TB FireCuda on Newegg (the latter ships from Hong Kong, so good luck getting that w/o paying the tariff or having the delivery cancelled as has happened to me!)

The former gives you storage while sacrificing a lot of speed. The latter flips that. There's a massive delta between the two.
