ive kind of landed on my position here, which is: i don't care if it fixes NOTHING economically. it fixes the fact that they can buy elections and destabilize governments. it's an issue of national security
This idea that the rich people leaving would bring Americans to destitution is dubious imo. They contribute back as little as possible in the first place, their exit might be the best possible outcome actually.
