I wouldn't say that of Sadiq, who among other things has looked just fine continuing the St George's Day celebrations in Trafalgar Square that Johnson instigated. As I wrote here just now, imo various local govt politicians look more nimble and capable of dealing with Flaggate than Starmer

This is why various council leaders have been much better at responding to Flaggate. They are not carrying this baggage with them because they don't think in those fatalistic let's-roleplay-the-recent-past-including-the-infighting terms. They just want to sound coherent, human and in control
