in fact i would happily trade update cost for better init cost. i need to cut down on what each of these things is doing *the first time*, none of this "reactivity" "signals" etc stuff helps here. it’s just about moving more calculation to interaction time

And since it exports to the standard trace format, I could bring it back to my home turf: analyzing the flamechart in Chrome DevTools and sharing via trace.cafe :D

If you had trouble navigating the flamechart in the chrome #devtools #performance panel, try setting "Flamechart navigation" to "modern".
With "modern", scroll actually scrolls, shift-scroll scrolls left/right and cmd+scroll zooms in/out.
I prefer this setting, especially without a trackpad.

noticing Expo Image appears to be synchronously releasing Glide resources on view unmount. this seems not free. would it be a good idea to schedule these on some idle queue? is that a common practice in Android? are there any pitfalls?
