Banning #FloatingBusStops (which are used internationally with few problems) is effectively a ban on protected cycling lanes… which means more pavement cycling and increasing the very conflict people pushing for an FBS ban claim to be campaigning against.

It’s also a position based on an invented problem that somehow only the British have. Lots of countries have figured out how to do safe floating bus stops years ago. They build more here all the time when cycling traffic and / or bus frequency go up.
