#Flosscross
Approaching the 50% mark! Got back into #crossstitch after decades of no time for hobbies. I love the full coverage and DIY--Created the pattern myself using Flosscross. I'm going to back stitch the moons in silver and add some silver seed beads as stars. #crossstitch, #Flosscross #crossstitching

And thank you! I started with those preprinted kits but I always have to do my own thing, so I use a site called flosscross to turn my own photos into patterns, this is my favorite of what I’ve done so far:

Yep! Mostly my own patterns, they're fun to design too - I recommend flosscross.com if you ever want to give that a shot yourself, it has the best interface + feature set of the free pattern designers I've tried

Creating your own cross stitch chart is very easy with FlossCross. It is possible to import pattern from photo or design it from empty canvas.

I tried Inkscape to make patterns and it'll work for tiny patterns, but it struggles when there's thousands of individual objects & slows to a crawl. Given that even a small pattern may have 2 or 3k stitches (so ~3k symbols) it's not ideal. Flosscross is free online & might work for you?

There's one called WinStitch/ MacStitch you can get it free with a few restrictions or pay for a full version which I found easy to use
Ive also used FlossCross online which also was easy to use

I've heard of flosscross, it's what I'm on now! It took some research to figure out cross counts and aida and all that, but I thiiiiiink I've got the chart now,,, I'm just not sure how to "center" the image I want with the 3" hoop in mind.. can I ask, how much space do you leave out for the hoop? 😅

There are free online sites that will convert images to cross/stitch patterns! I have used FlossCross and Pic2Pat. I also used to make my own by printing onto grid paper then manually copying but it was hard to match colours by eye

Thank you! And yes! I redrew the poster with some touch ups on a 50 x 70 pixel canvas, which translates it to a nice 3.5 x 5 in. postcard for my aida, and I used flosscross to map out the pattern+find the best thread colors to use :3 I have it in a pdf but the work is small enough to screenshot tbh

First time using FlossCross. I may mess with the colors a little more. Can't share with just a link but I'll see if I can host the file somewhere.

I improvise most of the time but I do use graph paper sometimes to figure out spacing for text, for the few patterns I’ve made I used flosscross which is a free website

C'est tellement ça 🤣
C'est un site que m'avait conseillé @svetmori.bsky.social et qui s'appelle FlossCross. D'ailleurs Svet est un super compte à suivre pour les créations point de croix

Cross stitching project idea I made in FlossCross: Enumclaw Horse Case awareness design!
I made it pretty clear what's going on for the aliens who see this in thousands of years who may not speak English. All that will remain? Horses.

Hopefully cause some times I'll get lost in hobbies so an inexpensive one what I need n yeah I'm gonna check some other pattern makers cause FlossCross seems to use darker tones of the colours for the corrosion symbol so wonder if there's somewhere that'd offer brighter colour variants...hmmmm!
October 29, 2024 at 7:44 PM
Oh lord how long will 10 THOUSAND stitiches take...better question how much is all the colours gonna cost me! (200x200 has 14 colours if I keep the colour counter at 30 on FlossCross xD)

Yeah I used FlossCross. Ny next 2 big projects are Dratchet kissing based on a piece by Jack Lawrence and one based on Drift and Deadlock. Just look at that pattern!

My second cross stitch ever! Self drafted with help from FlossCross. I remind my students (and myself) of this concept nearly every day. #crossstitch #bluey #xstitch #chili

This is the cross stitch I'm most proud of. ❤️ My mother and daughter at my childhood home. Drafted using FlossCross. #crossstitch

Maybe your local library? Mine has a few books on cross stitch and I can order books in from other libraries around the country.
Otherwise I make quite a few myself with Flosscross which is free and simply brilliant 🥳 You can put in images too.

на крайний случай есть ещё вариант загнать свой файл в flosscross, но хотелось ленивой опции с набором))

I've used flosscross.com before, though not for a while so I don't know if they've got some kind of Clippy now or something.
