tbh, the jobs of house speaker and senate majority leader have long since expanded beyond the traditional legislative duties to include public comms and media fluency. that's just reality regardless of what the official job description is.

Israel should not only integrate Arab parties into coalitions, but also integrate Arab politicians into its geopolitics. They know what Palestinian and other Arab societies are like and have linguistic and cultural fluency that Jews who only learned Arabic for military intelligence lack.

1. Die Zeit and blogs written at that level. Der Postillion I read fine but I also have high cultural fluency relative to my language fluency.
2. Newscasts, or Browser Ballett.
3. I talk in French with monolingual speakers just fine, albeit with less confidence now than when I lived in Paris.

Is she, though? She claimed fluency in many languages, but no one has ever heard her speaking anything but Slovenian and very limited English.

Reading the comments is polarizing me into opposing CEFR as unrepresentative of actual language fluency. Commenters complain about adult native speakers barely passing B1 English, and meanwhile B1 German speakers are not fluent enough to have a conversation in German about every topic.
Government is sticking to a higher standard of English to settle. B2 not B1. This involves written & spoken confidence om abstract topics: eg describe your hopes & dreams, not just practical interactions with eg transport or shops. It may involve approx 200 hours of language learning to go B1 to B2

Got a nice compliment from one of the others in my class though about my fluency though.

As a former remedial reading teacher, I detect a bit of dyslexia in Hakeem. Or perhaps a different disorder. He has difficulty with speech fluency, which impacts his communication.

I feel this personally because we recently had our French citizenship applications rejected (despite generous resources, good integration and fluency in French). A narrow technical reason was given, but it's clearly silly. The real reason IMHO is the growth in anti-immigration feeling around Europe.

My "cuss back" muscles are still on hair trigger in my seventies.
I was raised in a hard rock mining town and being a little guy I learned to cuss with fluency.
