Island hopping thru the South Pacific in Skycards & fantasizing about packing my flyrods made me realize that it's more or less the 12th anniversary of my trout-chasing trip to Chilean Patagonia.

MOAR VOLCANOES!! If memory serves, these were on the final leg, Santiago to Balmaceda. Looks like they were shot from a bit lower altitude as the plane began its descent.

i liked the "gate check" option for my flyrods. Some airlines (Alaska used to, i think) have cabin space for fishing rod tubes
