In #silks 1 class tonight with Ann (she appears at the end) and while it may not seem like it, this is definite progress! This is called a split roll up. It is a great example of not thinking I could do it at all and surprising myself. And my footlocks were nearly even! #aerials

I promised @justairythings.bsky.social photos of me chilling in double footlocks since I failed to include any double footlocks in Dungeons & Dragon Dating. And I am a woman of my word! So, here you go. (To be fair only the bottom left is me “chilling” the other three are me trying to do things.)

The top left is Virginia with that same cross of fabric behind her knees and her feet still securely wrapped, but she is dangling upside down from her knees with her arms spread wide and her head dangling toward the floor. The bottom left photo is Virginia leaning her back against one strand of the silks with her front leg perched comfortably against the other strand of silks so that she’s basically resting in a chair made of aerial silks. The bottom right photo is one of Virginia with her feet wrapped securely in locks, the silks crossed behind her back and her arms spread wide like she’s cruising at the bow of the titanic with Leo DiCaprio holding her waist. In three of the photos an adorable cat emoji has been placed over the faces of any of her classmates who may have been visible in the background. All 4 photos are still frames taken from video and thus are not great resolution, but Virginia did her best with what she had at the time.

Was it footlocks specifically son you think? I had a foot injury and I think that’s why sometimes footlocks bother me but they are only one part of silks if that is what hurt thankfully! Based on what you’ve told me you do in pole I would guess you could learn drops pretty quickly 1/2

So we were working on footlocks today and the teacher showed the finish - which was either the Genie or the Jeannie. I felt it was from I Dream of Jeannie, but the two 20-somethings in the class had never heard of the show.

going out of my way to use the footlocks too. yes, including arden. i like dealing with the time sensitive objectives and when that's confirmed safe, dragging my training projects up to the frontline. mostly because i find it funny to train them and sigurd is gonna do sigurd things regardless
